Hanoi, Vietnam to Siem Reap - Phnom Penh, Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) or Vice versa

19 Days 18 Nights

DAY 1: Arrive in Hanoi & Golf (-/-/-)

Upon arrival, your tour guide will escort you to the transport for your transfer to Hanoi Golf Club for your first golf game. Located up north and open for play in November 2006, this golfing gem has been strategically designed with trademark Japanese attention to detail over a vast 108 hectares of gentle, sloping terrain. The founding goal was to build a world-class championship golf course on the hillsides of North Hanoi, and at a lengthy 7,301 yards, what Hanoi Golf Club has today is a solid mature course beautiful to behold and a challenge to play.

Meals: N/A

DAY 2: Hanoi Golf Tour

Today’s golf is at the 36-hole King’s Island Golf Resort. Getting there is by way of boat, as the Lakeside Course spans two islands in a reservoir. No surprise then that water, in numerously varied ways, is a central feature, with many of the hidden greens requiring accurate carries over the lake or swampy terrain. On the Mountain view course, the 12th hole is an interesting dogleg right par 4 with bunkers grouped at the bend to prevent all but long hitters from cutting the corner. Big hitters hoping for a short iron in have to nail one straight over the bend, or be caught out by a fairway bunker on the left. Whichever the course, King’s Island challenges and excites all levels of players.

Included Meals: Breakfast

DAY 3: Hanoi - Ha Long

After breakfast, take 3.5-hour drive to Ha Long bay, a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. Upon arrival, transfer to a junk for a cruise around Ha Long Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch served on board. The cruise passes by many rocks and islets in many funny shapes. The cruise may stop for a while for visiting a beautiful case, if not today, you will do tomorrow according to each boat/junk’s itinerary. Again your dinner served on board. In the evening, enjoy the night fishing (optional) and later overnight on board.

The 7,145-yard, 18-hole course reflects Phokeethra Country Club's dedication to creating an exclusive golfing experience. Far-reaching fairways and generous greens give the Cambodia golf club a distinctive layout and feel. Natural lagoons and sand traps thread through the course to test golfers of all capabilities. The course provides a good mix of tricky par 3's, individual par 4's and par 5's which require a combination of long drives and good direction control to score well. After golf, you will be transferred to your hotel and check-in for overnight stay.

Included Meals: Breakfast

DAY 6: Siem Reap

Gear up for 2nd round of golf game in Siem Reap Booyoung Country Club, formerly known as Siem Reap Lake Golf Resort was the third international standard golf course opened in Angkor Wat. The $150 million US dollar course took 1 year to construct and is situated only 6 kilometers from the center of Siem Reap town. The course was designed by Kentaro Sato, the well-known Japanese golf course designer. No expenditure has been spared making the Siem Reap Booyoung Country Club the largest Angkor Wat golf complex.

Included Meals: Breakfast

DAY 7: Siem Reap

Swing for your final golf game in Angkor Golf Resort. This course is a fair test of golf for all players and demands analyzing and strategy on every hole to score well. For instance, the deliberately placed bunkers and water hazards are tricky, but easily seen from each tee box. The greens have plenty of subtle undulations and they reward a range of approach shots. However, don’t be intimidated, each holes difficulty can be moderated by specific pin positions from easy to challenging. On top of that, various tee box location allow for both low and high handicappers to choose the right course length for their game.

DAY 16: Ho Chi Minh (Saigon) Golf Tour

Today, your tour guide will meet and escort you to the transport for your transfer to Twin Doves Golf Club for your first golf game. An exclusive members club with top notch facilities, Twin Doves is three distinctly different nines in the woodlands and lakes style of design. The scenic Luna Course is characterized by numerous small hills bordered by forests, and incorporates all the natural elements of the terrain as challenging hazards. Nature’s best continues to feature in the Stella Course as creeks weave between tree-flanked holes, placing a premium on accurate shot-making if one is to return a good score. With greens mostly multi-tiered and guarded well by water hazards, the Stella Course wins praise as the most exciting of the three nines. Playing around a lake is the Sole Course, replete with an island green, beach bunkers, and of course a series of water hazards. This nine is unique in that it has only a single par three and par five.

Included Meals: 1 Breakfast

DAY 17: Ho Chi Minh (Saigon)

This morning, play your second round of golf at Vietnam Golf & Country Club. Widely regarded as the country’s premier golf club, Vietnam Golf has hosted Asian tour events on its two championship courses. The West Course plays long, and tee shots are challenging to narrow landing areas, some of which also feature a lone tree in the center of the fairway. Only single-digit handicap players are advised to play off the back tees. Standing out as one of the best holes, the 11th is a long 408 yard par 4-dogleg left, which demands of a drive that must carry over trees left to have sight of the green. Complicated by another large tree in the center of the fairway, the approach is then to a slightly elevated, shallow and wide green bunkered on both sides. The hillier Lee Trevino designed East Course offers more generous fairways but is protected by 110 well-positioned bunkers, water hazards and undulating fast-rolling greens which have been the undoing of many a better player. Scoring well requires smart approach shots that set up relatively straighter putts on the greens.

Included Meals: 1 Breakfast

DAY 18: Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) – Cu Chi Tunnels

Day 18 of your Asian tour begins with a visit to the Reunification Palace, a former presidential residence that was of great importance during the Vietnam War. It is now a museum, where you can explore the past and take in the beautiful architecture during a tour. The rest of the day is yours at leisure to enjoy more of Saigon - the ancient pagodas, bustling markets, and gourmet restaurants - at your own pace. If you like, you may join an optional tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels used by the Viet Cong, with lunch included. This evening, you'll gather with your fellow travelers to reminisce about your Angkor Wat tour and Mekong River cruise during a Farewell Dinner.
