This 5-day biking tour is designed for keen bikers to cycle along the backroads that criss-cross the Mekong Delta. Visit farms and markets in this lush, fertile region of Vietnam Highlights of the trip:
- Cycle along villages' paths and trails in the Mekong Delta
- Use ferries to cross tributaries of the Mekong River
- Cycle to Tra Vinh, through Khmer villages
- Cycle to Chau Doc, a laid back city near Cambodia Border
- Cycle to remote province of Ha Tien with possible extension to Phu Quoc Island for a break retreat.

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City Arrival
When you arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, you'll be met and transferred to your hotel in the downtown. Your time will be at leisure or to explore the sights and sounds of Ho Chi Minh City. In the late afternoon, you'll be met by your guide for a coffee and tour briefing.

Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City 

Day 2: Saigon to Tra Vinh
After breakfast, you transfer for a couple of hours out of Ho Chi Minh City to My Tho – the gateway to the Mekong Delta. Today’s ride will lead us right into the heart of the rural Mekong. You'll pedal along narrow paths and lanes, past banana plantations and fields of sugar cane, through the lush green landscape of the Delta until you reach Tra Vinh - a small town off the tourist trail, with a large population of ethnic Khmer.

Day 3: Tra Vinh to Can Tho
Today, you'll continue with our cycling adventure - the roads are peaceful, narrow and very pretty all the way to Can Tho. Along the way you cross numerous rivers and streams via bridges and local ferries. There is plenty to see on our journey, including colourful Khmer temples and the pond of Ba Om, where you’ll hear the story of how it was dug and subsequently got its name according to local legend. You cycle along riverbank paths and through busy villages until you join the main road to Can Tho. Can Tho is a popular town on the banks of the Mekong with a night market and waterfront bars and restaurants.

Day 4: Can Tho to Chau Doc
After a very early breakfast, you'll enjoy a pleasant motorboat cruise to Cai Rang floating market to see the local farmers selling their produce from their boats on the busy river. Once you’re back on mainland you cycle along narrow roads weaving through the morning market hustle and bustle on the banks of the river, whilst absorbing the sights of endless cottage industries, timber merchants and coconut shredders. Once you finish cycling for the day, you will transfer for approximately one and a half hours to the border town of Chau Doc, where you spend the night.

Overnight in Can Tho

Day 5: Chau Doc to Ha Tien
Today, you take a boat ride to see the floating house and Cham village before transferring to Ha Tien/Rach Gia for boating to Phu Quoc. Alternatively, our vehicle will take you back to Ho Chi Minh City.
